Russel Henry Mills transitioned from postal work to professional photography in Dominica. He is currently based in Bath Estate, Dominica, where he serves as President, Event Coordinator, Project Manager, and Photographer at Mills Eye Vision since 2013.

Early Career

Mills previously worked as a postman for the Government of Dominica. He attended Goodwill High School, laying the foundation for his local roots in Saint George Parish.

Entry into Photography

In 2013, he took on multifaceted roles at Mills Eye Vision, an optometry-related business he owns, incorporating photography alongside event coordination and management. This shift marked his professional entry into photography, likely building on personal interests or skills developed earlier.

Current Work

Today, Mills operates from |Bath Estate, Dominica, handling photography for events and projects at Mills Eye Vision. He has past experience at Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia from 2015 to 2019, suggesting regional hospitality ties that may have honed his event photography skills.
